Permits to burn required
Notice is hereby given that under and by virtue of the powers conferred by section 98 of the Forestry Act, and the Forest Fire Regulations, the public are advised that every person setting, between the hours of midnight on the 30th day of April, 2021, and midnight of the 30th day of September, 2021, on the island portion of the province and between the hours of midnight on the 14th day of May, 2021, and midnight of the 30th day of September, 2021, on the Labrador portion of the province, a fire for the purpose of clearing land or burning brush, slash, etc. on forest land or within three hundred meters of forest land, shall first obtain a permit to burn from the Minister responsible for the Forestry and Agrifoods Agency, or from a person authorized by the Minister to issue such permits
